The 12th Bond movie, For Your Eyes Only, sees him on a mission to revive the Royal Navy’s lost ATAC, an encrypted communications device that controls Britain’s Polaris submarine fleet.
During the film’s spectacular ski scene, Bond performs a daring downhill run pursued by assassins on motorbikes with machine guns in the indicators.
The coin’s design portrays a motorcycling assassin, the partial image of a woman’s leg and a crossbow inspired by the original movie poster. James Bond is represented by the figure of a downhill skier in the background. The reverse also includes the official For Your Eyes Only logo in colour, as well as the Bond Family Crest bearing the motto ORBIS NON SUFFICIT (the world is not enough) and the number 40.
Each coin is presented in a 007 branded case within a themed shipper and accompanied by a numbered Certificate of Authenticity.
