In 1789, near the Tonga archipelago, Captain William Bligh was forced to leave the deck with few members of the crew. Sailors equipped only with a sextant, after covering 6701 kilometers in the lifeboat, managed to reach Timor. The journey of HMS Bounty ended on the uninhabited island of Pitcairn, where the rebels, along with the kidnapped Tahitians, established a settlement.
The coin includes an antique finish with a stunning green resin insert and comes housed in a nautical themed presentation case. The Certificate of Authenticity is also included.
