The Australia Sovereign 2026 Gold Proof Coin celebrates Perth Mint's heritage of sovereign production since 1899. This modern collectable features Benedetto Pistrucci's iconic St George and dragon design, symbolising courage and the triumph of good over evil.

Modern design
The new work portrays a naked warrior on horseback brandishing a sword above a dragon. The image appears within a decorative circle of raised dots, together with the inscription ‘AUSTRALIA’, ‘2026’ and The Perth Mint’s ‘P’ mintmark. The design also features a privy mark with the number ‘100’, commemorating what would have been the 100th birthday of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.

Presentation packaging
The coin is housed in a prestigious wooden presentation case within a superbly illustrated shipper and is accompanied by a numbered certificate of authenticity.
