Celebrate 90 years of Disney’s lovable mascot, Mickey Mouse, with this 5g Fine Silver coin note.
Disney’s lovable and iconic mascot, Mickey Mouse, made his debut on 18 November 1928 in the black and white animated short, Steamboat Willie. During the early years, Mickey was drawn by noted animator Ub Iwerks, and Walt Disney himself provided Mickey’s voice until 1947.
Mickey was often joined by his sweetheart, Minnie Mouse, as well as an animated gang of friends that included Donald Duck, Goofy, and Pluto.
Mickey Mouse was originally drawn using circles for head, body, and ears. The Pointer, in 1939, was the first cartoon that featured a drastically new design for Mickey. His body became more pear-shaped than round, and pupils were added to his eyes, making them more expressive. Later changes consisted mainly of costume changes.
This coin note features stunning coloured and engraved images of Disney’s Mickey Mouse through the ages from 1928 to today.
It comes presented in a high-quality, eye-catching Disney Mickey Mouse 90th Anniversary themed box and carrier. The Certificate of Authenticity is also themed and sits within the box.
