The distributor of this series, Mint of Gdansk will donate 1% of the sale of each coin to the victims of the devastating earthquake in Nepal, which took place in 2015.
Of the ten most tragic natural catastrophes in history, half of them are from earthquakes. They arise as a result of stresses on the earth's crust and movements of rock layers, the effect of which is energy transforming into seismic waves. Some of them reach the surface of the Earth and destroy everything in their path.
This unique 1oz high relief coin features cracks in the earth's crust that occupy the entire reverse of the coin. The oxidized silver is covered with copper to achieve the stunning Earth effect.
The coin is housed in a wooden box which includes the Certificate of Authenticity.
