The "Mickey Through the Ages" coin collection celebrates the much-loved Disney character Mickey Mouse and his cartoon career through the decades.
Mickey's Delayed Date was released on 3 October 1947 and was one of the last cartoons to feature Walt Disney as the voice of Mickey Mouse.
Angry that he is late for their date at a party, Minnie calls Mickey, who has been sleeping all this time. As soon as Minnie wakens him, she warns Mickey that if he doesn't arrive in the next few minutes, their relationship is over.
With the aid of Pluto, he gets dressed in his tux - but unwittingly leaves the tickets behind. Fortunately, Pluto runs after Mickey with them, but on the way they tangle with a trash can. Minnie sees Mickey with his torn clothes, but to Mickey’s amazement she is not mad and tells him he has a "cute costume" for the "hard times" costume party.
This stunning silver coin features Mickey Mouse in a tux running late for his date with Minnie Mouse, as seen in the hilarious Disney animation Mickey's Delayed Date (1947). The image of Mickey Mouse is in full colour against an engraved background. The coin comes presented in a high-quality wooden inner coin case with the attractive themed outer packaging featuring Disney's Mickey Mouse and Pluto as they appeared in the film. The Certificate of Authenticity sits within the coin case.
This original coin would make a perfect gift for any Disney fan or coin collector.
