Flowers and Trees is the 29th Silly Symphony cartoon, released on July 30, 1932 by Walt Disney Productions. A landmark in Disney animation, it was the first cartoon to be made in colour – at Walt Disney's insistence. It was also the first to earn him an Academy Award®.
The story concerns two trees in love who are threatened by a jealous old stump that attempts to burn the forest down in order to destroy them. But he only succeeds in reducing himself to ash. The plants and animals of the forest survive the fire and celebrate the trees' wedding.
This classic engraved coin features a replica image of the 1930s poster for the Disney cartoon Flowers and Trees, the 29th Silly Symphony cartoon released on July 30, 1932. The design incorporates both engraving and colour to great effect
The 1oz silver coin is presented in a clever perspex holder, designed to frame the coin and allow for easy display. The Certificate of Authenticity sits within the packaging, and both items have been designed to complement the coin.
This beautiful coin would make a fantastic gift for any Disney fan or coin collector.
