The Perth Mint will release no more than 5,000 of the 2016 Australian Kangaroo 1oz Silver Gilded Edition.
The coin's reverse depicts a bounding red kangaroo gilded in 24-carat gold, surrounded by stylised rays of sunlight. The design includes the inscription AUSTRALIAN KANGAROO, The Perth Mint’s ‘P’ mintmark, and the 2016 year-date.
The Ian Rank-Broadley effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II and monetary denomination are depicted on the coin’s obverse.
The coin is housed in a generic black display case accompanied by a numbered Certificate of Authenticity. Each case comes in a coloured, illustrated box-shipper.
