Star Trek: Enterprise is set at the beginning of the Star Trek series timeline and follows the 22nd century adventures of Captain Jonathan Archer aboard the Enterprise NX-01 during the early days of interstellar travel.
Struck by The Perth Mint from 1oz of 99.9% pure silver, both coins are issued as legal tender under the authority of the Government of Tuvalu.
The Perth Mint will release no more than 1,500 of the 2015 Star Trek Enterprise 1oz Silver Proof Two Coin Set.
The Captain Archer coin’s reverse portrays a colour image of Scott Bakula as Captain Jonathan Archer as he appeared in Star Trek: Enterprise, against a representation of the Enterprise NX-01 and the inscription CAPTAIN JONATHAN ARCHER. The design also includes The Perth Mint’s traditional ‘P’ mintmark, and the coin’s weight and fineness.
The Enterprise coin’s reverse portrays a colour image of the Enterprise NX-01 flying over planets, as it appeared in the television series Star Trek: Enterprise. The design includes the inscription STAR TREK ENTERPRISE ENTERPRISE NX-01, The Perth Mint’s traditional ‘P’ mintmark, and the coin’s weight and fineness.
The obverse depicts the Ian Rank-Broadley effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, the monetary denomination, and the 2015 year-date.
The Two-Coin Set is packaged in a case designed to look like a Star Trek Transporter. The Captain Jonathan Archer coin sits inside and when the ‘door’ of the Transporter is opened, a light comes on so that the Captain appears to be teleporting. The Enterprise NX-01coin sits on top of the case in its own compartment which also lights up.
Each coin is accompanied by a numbered Certificate of Authenticity.
