The Perth Mint’s high relief coins represent the very best in minting excellence and design.
Comprising of the 2013 Australian Kookaburra, Kangaroo and Koala high relief coins, this collection displays three of the most popular designs from the year.
Struck by The Perth Mint from 99.9% pure silver in proof quality, each 1oz coin is issued as legal tender under the Australian Currency Act 1965. No more than 1,000 of these 2013 Australian High Relief Collections will be issued by The Perth Mint out of each coin’s maximum mintage indicated above.
The 2013 Australian Kookaburra coin’s reverse portrays two young kookaburras sitting on a tree branch against a background of bush flowers. The design includes the inscription AUSTRALIAN KOOKABURRA.
The 2013 Australian Kangaroo coin’s reverse portrays an adult kangaroo standing in an outback scene. The design includes the inscription AUSTRALIAN KANGAROO.
The 2013 Australian Koala coin's reverse depicts an adult koala sitting on the branch of a eucalyptus tree, surrounded by gum leaves. The design includes the inscription AUSTRALIAN KOALA.
The Perth Mint’s ‘P’ mintmark and the 2013 year-date are also incorporated in the design of each coin’s reverse. The Ian Rank-Broadley effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II and the monetary denomination are depicted on each coin’s obverse.
Each coin’s high relief reverse and obverse are minted on concave surfaces to ensure the optimum flow of metal is achieved by the strike of the die. The three-coin collection is housed in a display case with beautifully illustrated shipper and is accompanied by numbered Certificate of Authenticity.
